As you continue to pay rent each month, additional positive payments are added to your rental line on a monthly basis.

  1. Can I add past rent payments to Atlas Rent Reporting, or only future ones? Atlas Rent Reporting can add your monthly payments from when you sign up or up to 25 months back on your current lease. For example, if you moved in December 2020, we can add your rent payments from January 2022 to January 2024 (25 months total). This covers the past 2 years at your current address, and we'll keep adding for future months as long as you use our service.

  2. Can I add rent from my old rental addresses if the lease is no longer active or I’ve already moved out? We can't add any non-active lease. We can add past payments (up to 25 months back) on current or active leases but can't check and add old leases.

  3. Which credit bureaus does Atlas Rent Reporting report to? We're working with Experian for Atlas Rent Reporting. (Equifax and TransUnion will be included soon!)

  4. What details are reported to Experian RentBureau? We share these details from your account:

    1. Your name, SSN, and birth date

    2. Your rental address (as per your lease)

    3. Your monthly rent amount

    4. Due date of your rent

  5. How will my rent payment appear on my credit report? When you pay your rent on time, it shows up as a new line on your credit report. This line is different from loans or credit and doesn't show up as debt. It's displayed as monthly payments. Some credit apps might show them as "$0," but this doesn't mean there's a problem.

  6. What happens if my payment changes monthly? Small changes due to utilities are expected. We usually report the base rent from your lease. For large changes, we'll need to contact you to confirm the payment.

  7. How can I access my credit report and monitor changes to my credit score with Atlas Rent Reporting? You can access your credit report and monitor changes to your credit score inside your Atlas app or through credit monitoring services, many of which are available for free.
