How to Pay Bills with Atlas
Find your Atlas account number and routing number
Open the Atlas app.
Tap Home.
Select Deposit Account.
Tap Pay my bills to view your account and routing numbers. Email this information to yourself to keep it somewhere easy to access.
Login to each of your bill payment provider portals, and add your Atlas account and routing numbers to them. Your bills will be paid successfully as long as you have enough money available to withdraw from your Atlas Deposit Account. You can find this amount in the app by tapping Home > Deposit Account and finding "Available to withdraw" at the top right under your deposit balance display. The amount you have available to withdraw is dependent on your pending balance and your deposit balance in your Atlas Deposit Account.
Managing Bill Payments with Atlas
Tracking recurring bills
Navigate to Deposit Account > Recent Transactions to view all bills paid using your Atlas account and routing numbers.
Important notes:
You can only use your Deposit Account's available balance, which differs from the credit available on your Atlas card.
It may take up to two billing cycles for new merchants to appear under Recent Transactions.
Recommended bills to pay with Atlas deposit account
Rent (if you have a full direct deposit linked with Atlas you should consider setting this up soon)
Utilities (electricity, water, gas)
Essential services not payable via your Atlas credit card
Points and bill payments
Points are earned only through transactions made with your Atlas Credit Card. Payments from your Deposit Account are not eligible for points.
What if my bill payment fails?
Cause: Insufficient funds in your account. Essentially, you're attempting to pay bills that amount to a number larger than your "Available to withdraw" amount shown in the Deposit Account page.
Check Your Available to Withdraw Balance:
Open the Atlas app.
Navigate to Deposit Account.
Review your Available to Withdraw balance. This balance is used to determine how much you have available to withdraw through the app or available to pay your bills.
Note: Payments may take 3-5 business days to process.
