What happens if my account is restricted?

Restricted account

Updated over a week ago

If we detect unusual activity on your Atlas account, we may temporarily restrict access to help protect your money and prevent fraud.

Why this matters

Your money is safe, and you’ll still receive direct deposits—but you won’t be able to spend or withdraw until the issue is resolved.

Why accounts get restricted

  • We detected unusual or high-risk activity

  • We may need to verify your identity

  • We might ask for a recent bank statement

You’ll get a message in the app or an email with the steps to lift the restriction.
