New to direct deposit?
If it’s your first time setting up direct deposit or switching from another bank, it can take 1–2 pay cycles for early access to kick in.
To avoid delays, make sure you’ve notified your employer or benefits provider about the switch to Atlas.
Once everything is set up, deposits can arrive up to 2 days early — depending on your payer.
Here’s what happens behind the scenes:
Your employer sends a payroll file → it’s reviewed by the ACH network → it’s sent to our bank partner → once we receive it, your funds are available.
Expecting government benefits?
If you're waiting for Social Security or SSI payments, those follow a fixed payment schedule. You can view the official calendar on the SSA website.
What to do if your deposit is late
Double-check your direct deposit info in the Atlas app—make sure account and routing numbers match what you gave your payer
Wait until the end of payday—some deposits arrive later in the day
Still missing after 1 business day? If your deposit hasn’t shown up by the next business day, check with your payer to confirm it was sent. If it was, contact us — we’re happy to help.
